Starfall.com

Starfall.com, an educational site that my mum had just found for kids at the age of 3-8 years old, proves to be the best site yet for kids as the site is children-friendly, which makes it easier for them to understand and catch up.Moreover, the site's logo, "Where Children Have Fun Learning to Read", proves to be true as I witness it myself from my youngest brother and sister, as they sit all day exploring the site while learning from it, without actually realising it. Rather than wasting their time on wasteful games, they play games which help them in spelling, reading and understanding the general knowledge and politeness of the world, such as, mother's day, writing a cute (^-^) note to their loved ones (grandparents etc.), and the world around us etc.
With sound helping them in their learning, I would recommend this site to anyone who would like to help either their children, grandchildren, or brothers or sisters in their leaning.
More or less, have a good day BD

Ladies Outing 30/03/08 Kek Pandan
With having Kak Ina as the chef and the 'Guru', I took pictures of every single action she made, too many that I might have annoyed the other 'students' (lol). Anyway, I've now baked 2 sponge cakes by myself, one was helped a bit from my mum on a Saturday evening, and the other one where I baked it all by myself, tasted even better I think (lol).
However, it wasn't as fluffy as kak Ina's as I didn't have cream of tartar, which I replaced with Baking powder instead. The recipe??
Sponge Cake Recipe...
Part A ingredient
6 egg white
3 7/8 Oz (110g) of caster sugar
1 table spoonful of cream of tartar
Part B ingredient
6 egg yolk
3 7/8 Oz (110g) of caster sugar
8 table spoonful cooking/ vegetable oil
8 table spoonful coconut milk
5 Oz (144g) self-raising flour
The amount of flavouring desired with an amount of colouring to suit the taste with
The mixing part...
Part A
1. Stir the egg white in a mixing bowl
2. Add the caster sugar needed little by little
3. Add the cream of tartar as the mixture of egg whites and the caster sugar seem
smooth and stirred well. (This is after about 15 minutes of stirring)
4. When the mixture looks fluidly thick, put it in a another bowl
Part B
1. Start with stirring the egg yolks.
2. Followed with adding the caster sugar, little by little
3. Add self-raising flour after the mixture looks smooth and stirred well.
(This is after about 2-3 minutes of stirring)
4. Add the amount of coconut milk needed spoon after spoon.
5. Followed by the amount of oil needed, spoon after spoon.
6. Lastly, add the amount of flavouring and colouring desired.
Finally...
1. Mix both part A and part B in a mixing bowl, and stir them well.
2. After mixing them well, put them in a baking tray that's layered with a baking paper.
3. Put it in the oven with the temperature of 160o, with the gas marked 4
for 55 minutes.
And when that's done, you're ready for your treat =D
You can choose whether to let it cool first or eat it ASAP, as it doesn't really make that much difference (to me that is), however, to be frankly honest, I prefer to let it cool first (doesn't burn my tongue XD)
A picture of the cake we had at the ladies outing
More or less, the temperature of the oven and the time for it to bake cannot be less or more.
Lastly, Good luck!! =D

Second MML Golf Session - Pitching and Putting
Second golf lesson - pitching and putting was conducted on 12th-May-2008. MML's golf enthusiasts was taught to do pitching and putting. To follow through instead of hitting the ball. To stay calm instead of hitting hard. After the session, many have mastered the feel of follow through, promised to put a tough fight in MML competition.Enjoy some photos of MML's second golf lesson. If you have missed this, you are welcome to the next session.

More Photos on 1st Golf Clinic
First MML Golf Clinic - 6:30pm,9 May 2008, Derby Road Driving Range Loughborough
The general perception about golf is, it is a hard game. Hitting a small ball straight for 300 meters requires perfect hitting on a right spot. Some can only achieve this after months or even years in practice. But this is not the case of many new comers in golf during 1st MML golf clinic at

What does GOLF stand for?
Some people say GOLF is "Golongan Orang Lapang fikiran", for those who doesn't understand, that means "The Free-minded People".
Some others say GOLF="Golongan Orang Lemah Fikiran"= "The Weak-minded People"
Some really creative people say GOLF suits the richer people as in "Golongan Orang Yang Lebih Fulus"
Lastly, a bit negative, but still realistic, "Golongan Orang Lupa Famili", "The family-forgetter people"
Who's right? Who's wrong? Who on earth invented these terms anyway?
More or less, it all depends on one's mind..so...show you care and vote for what you think..
*If you have another term, doesn't matter what languange it is..Leave it here on the comment side...
XD
Is golf a difficult game?
Anyways, back to our topic, some people say you've got to have the right skills, holding the club (club as in the stick used to hit the ball not club as in a club), and the perfect hitting point. Me? Play as much and as hard as you want, as long as you enjoy it =D. But hey, if you want to compete with people, you can't just hit the air and not get a point, might as well play with yourself. You need to have patience and practice as much as you could, play with a friend and when you think you're ready and have confidence in yourself, sign yourself up and make sure you do your best and enjoy your time. However, there is a case where first timers does a perfect hit on their first try. The man below, my dad's mate is one of them, so hey, what's so hard about golf eyh?? So I say..(LOL)

This was proved when my dad and several of his colleagues were having a golf training sesion, about 10 or 12 of them in total, led and taught by Uncle Shairan and Uncle Md Syah. Most of them were doing it just for fun and to enjoy themselves, but hey, looks like that one day has changed golf from a "just-for-fun" thing to a hobby (I think?), most of them has already bought a golf set to play with. Looks like golf is something eh? LOL
Anyways, here's some sneak peak of the training sessions =D
